Estimates, Pricing, and Scope Adjustments

Clutter Free Service provides free estimates based on initial descriptions, photos, or on-site evaluations. These estimates are intended to give a reasonable projection of cost for NYC junk removal and cleanup services.

Final pricing may vary if actual conditions differ from the original assessment. This may include, but is not limited to, increased volume, hidden debris, restricted access, additional labor requirements, hazardous materials, or extended project time. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate any pricing adjustments before proceeding.

Clients acknowledge that all estimates are non-binding until the scope of work is confirmed at the time of service.

Scheduling, Access, and Site Conditions

Service appointments are scheduled based on availability and confirmed with the client in advance. Clients are responsible for ensuring that the property is accessible at the agreed-upon time, including providing entry, parking access, and any necessary permissions.

Delays caused by inaccessible properties, unsafe working conditions, or inaccurate job descriptions may result in rescheduling, additional labor charges, or cancellation of service. Clutter Free Service reserves the right to adjust scheduling windows due to traffic, weather, or job complexity, and will communicate any significant delays when possible.

Client Responsibilities and Pre-Service Preparation

Clients are responsible for removing or clearly identifying any items they wish to retain prior to the start of the cleanup. This includes valuables, legal documents, personal items, or sentimental belongings. Clutter Free Service is not responsible for items that are removed during the cleanup process if they were not properly identified in advance.

Clients must also disclose any known hazards, including biohazards, mold, pests, chemicals, sharp objects, or structural concerns. Failure to disclose such conditions may result in additional fees, service delays, or refusal to complete the project.

Payment Terms and Billing

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clutter Free Service accepts multiple forms of payment, which will be communicated during booking.

For larger or more complex projects, a deposit may be required prior to the start of work. Failure to make timely payments may result in late fees, service refusal, or collection actions as permitted by law.

All payments are considered final once services have been rendered, except in cases where a written agreement states otherwise.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Show Policy

Clients may cancel or reschedule services by providing reasonable notice. However, cancellations made with insufficient notice or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee, particularly for large-scale cleanouts or reserved time slots.

Clutter Free Service reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to unsafe conditions, weather events, or unforeseen operational issues.

Disposal Practices and Environmental Compliance

Clutter Free Service is committed to responsible and environmentally conscious disposal practices. Items collected during junk removal and cleanup services in NYC are sorted, with efforts made to recycle materials and donate usable items whenever feasible.

However, not all items are eligible for recycling or donation. Disposal methods are determined based on local regulations, facility availability, and the condition of materials. Certain items requiring specialized handling may incur additional charges.

Hazardous Materials and Restricted Items

Clutter Free Service does not handle certain hazardous or regulated materials unless explicitly agreed upon in advance. These may include chemicals, medical waste, asbestos, flammable substances, or other dangerous materials.

If such items are discovered during a project and were not disclosed beforehand, we reserve the right to pause or terminate the service until proper arrangements are made.

Limitation of Liability

Clutter Free Service is licensed and insured; however, by using our services, you acknowledge that cleanup and removal work involves inherent risks. While we take reasonable precautions to protect property, minor incidental damage may occur during large or complex cleanouts.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clutter Free Service shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of property value, or business interruption.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clutter Free Service, its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your failure to disclose hazards, provide accurate information, or comply with these Terms.
